Mindfulness Empowerment Training

Mindful Bodywork, Stress Reduction, Meditation, and Self-Defense

Mindfulness involves training your brain to focus more efficiently. The widespread popularity of the mindfulness movement stems partly from an ever-growing mountain of evidence supporting the health benefits of this ancient technique. Many people use mindfulness to reduce stress. If you are attracted to it for that reason, please consider possible side effects of this practice. They can include lowered heart rate and blood pressure, reduced cholesterol, reduced pain and inflammation, as well as relief from symptoms of depression, anxiety, and post traumatic stress. For myself, I felt not only mental and emotional benefits but also a tremendous increase in my effectiveness as a bodyworker and healer. This helped me to realize that mindfulness training has potential to enhance the skills of any health practitioner. It’s now the foundation for nearly all of my work. More classes are coming!

How are Polarity Healthcare classes unique?

These classes are grounded in science, focused on the physical body, and freely integrate concepts and techniques from a variety of healing methods. Participants come away with a personal experience of skills that are practical and powerful.

Many Polarity Healthcare classes are oriented toward bodyworkers but classes like “Stress Busting Secrets” and “Training Your Brain: Meditation 101” are geared toward self-care for both professionals and non-professionals of all ages and from all walks of life.

How it Works

Mindfulness practice is not a quick-fix. It takes time and practice to achieve long lasting results. The good news is the results are cumulative and permanent. Brains of long-term meditators show structural differences and there are many on-going studies attempting to understand those differences. What we do know is that meditators are less reactive, have fewer stress hormones circulating in their bodies and tend to be calmer.

In your professional life, would your work benefit from the ability to stay focused without your thoughts drifting? Now imagine being healthier, more relaxed, and generally happier. What are you waiting for?
